At the races
April in Nuwara Eliya is sure style season and shades of My Fair Lady it was in the hills when a vintage fashion show was laid on by Lou Ching Wong and Kirthie Sri Karunaratne at the Nuwara Eliya Turf Club races last week.

The Governor's Cup sponsored this year by SriLankan Airlines attracted many race-goers, some of whom turned up in Ascot style with feathered hats and parasols to match the fashions on the catwalk.

The fashion show focused on fashions of a bygone era with saree styles of previous generations and My Fair Lady costumes being paraded on the ramp set up in front of the Grand-stand. Ramzi Rahaman created elaborate hairstyles to match the frills and flounces.
