More Colombo-based US diplomats quizzed
Two more US diplomats who served in the Colombo mission now rocked with a multi-million rupee visa scam have been held by Federal Agents in that country, The Sunday Times learns.

Bill Hove, the head of the Consulate Section of the US embassy some months ago and now working at the State Department in Washington DC was arrested as investigations continued.

Mr. Howe's predecessor, Chris Benson now in Seoul has been interrogated, according to reports reaching Colombo.

A US embassy spokesman said they had no further information following the sudden arrest of Rober Johnson and his wife Long Lee, both of whom were serving in Colombo. According to their indictment the US embassy in Colombo dished out visas for money. Many of the Visa recipients were Vietnamese, Indians and Sri Lankans.
