'Arabian
Nights',a food and Arabian dance festival is now on at the 'Spice'
Restaurant of Colombo Hilton till June 1.
Serving the
best of Arabic food prepared by two Guest Chefs from Nile Hilton,
Chef Ragheb and Chef Abdel Hady will create some typical Arabic
food using the finest of authentic ingredients.
Arabic Salad,
Tomatoes Yemistes (Stuffed Tomatoes), Kebab (Skewered Lamb and Vegetables),
Chicken & Lamb Shawarma, Hummus Bi Tahini (Chick Pea and Seasam
Puree) and Arabic sweets are some of the dishes that would be available
during the promotion.
The main attraction
is of course the performance by a beautiful belly dancer - Leila
from Lebanon, who will be doing three shows per night.
'Serendipity' one year young
Serendipity, the travel and leisure magazine, exclusively
promoting the Isle of "Serendipity" Sri Lanka completed
its first year in operation in April with the publication of their
Anniversary issue. At a recent event to mark the occasion held at
the Sri Lanka Tourist Board the CEO for Nahsirk Netvertising, Krishan
Senaratne, the publisher of the magazine, presented a copy of their
Anniversary issue to the Chairman, Sri Lanka Tourist Board, Paddy
Withana.
During the year
in review, the magazine published various articles and write-ups
giving prominence to local cultural venues and events, wild life
and eco-tourism, hotels, restaurants and many other issues of interest
with regard to travel, tourism and leisure in Sri Lanka.

On a
glittering stage and in true pageantry atmosphere, married women
of Sri Lanka will unite on a common platform on June 13 to promote
the slogan that marriage does not end beauty, but enhances beauty.
Ten beautiful
Mrs. from different races and beliefs each one a professional in
their own line of work, have combined family life, profession and
rigorous training sessions for the 'Mrs. Sri Lanka 2003' pageant
at Holiday Inn.
The winners
will vie for two of the most prestigious world pageants for married
women - 'Mrs. Globe' and 'Mrs. International' both scheduled in
U.S.A. this year.
The pre-view of the finalists will be held at Molly's on Sunday,
May 25. Apart from Sunday's pre-view for selection of 'Mrs. Personality',
the other pre-views will be at Showboat and Holiday Inn during the
coming week-end.
'Mrs. Sri Lanka 2003' is presented by STUDIO 9.
'David & Lisa'
They seem the unlikeliest friends... an obsessive-compulsive
