First Lankan VCD on "Facing Interviews"

For the first time in Sri Lanka, a Video CD on the art of facing interviews has been made available to young Sri Lankan men and women.

The VCD, a creation of the Rotary Club of Colombo Down Town, is the result of an extensive volunteer collaboration between a number of human resource professionals, career guidance professionals together with drama and cinema professionals.

The Career Guidance Unit of the University of Colombo also supported this venture.

The VCD comes in the form of a drama, which revolves around a young man who goes to his first interview totally unprepared. Throughout the video, valuable resources are provided on all key aspects in the art of interview facing. Some of the questions tackled are in the areas of "How to prepare", "How to dress", "How to face," "How to face tricky questions," "English Communication" and "How to follow up".

The CD contains a large collection of useful advice, hints and tips which will be invaluable to those planning to face his or her first interview.
