Deutsche Bank appoints new Chief Country Officer in Sri Lanka

Deutsche Bank last week announced the appointment of Stefan Mahrdt as Chief Country Officer in Sri Lanka and Head of its Global Banking Division effective from July 1.

Mahrdt replaces Rohan Rodrigo in the role of Chief Country Officer and Kimarli Fernando in the Global Banking role. Rodrigo will remain as Head of Global Markets in Sri Lanka, while Fernando is leaving the bank to pursue other interests.

The new country manager returns after an earlier stint in Colombo from July 1993 to March 1997. The branch office in Colombo has 50 employees.
