Confifi Hotels Group records high profits

The Confifi hotels group, in the last financial year, has recorded its highest ever revenue by focusing on operational efficiency, staff productivity and service standards.

A company spokesperson attributed the turnaround, despite a difficult year, to the strengthening of tourist arrivals after the current peace process. The Confifi Group Hotels owns and manages four properties in Beruwela namely the Eden Resort and Spa, Riverina Hotel, Club Palm Garden and the Confifi Beach Hotel.

Profits at the Eden Resort and Spa rose by 65 percent in net revenue to Rs. 260 million while profits were up at Rs. 44.5 million. Riverina Hotel turnover rose from Rs. 157.8 million to Rs. 234 million while the net profit was Rs. 60.9 million. Club Palm Garden, a resort hotel of 142 rooms purely on the club concept, showed net revenues of Rs. 119 million and a net profit of Rs. 49 million.

"The significant achievement in the profit turnover for the financial year concluded has boosted the confidence of the Confifi Group Hotels towards a continuous upward trend in productivity and excellence," the company spokesperson said.
