Glenda launches Emphasis PR

Glenda Parthipan, a former executive at the Ceylinco group and Phoenix Advertising, has ventured out on her own to start a new public relations outfit called Emphasis.

The company, launched last month, is aimed at new age thinking, building strong relationships, being professional, looking at the finer details, making ideas a reality and creating lasting impressions. Its main focus will be PR, event management and promotions.

A graduate of the University of Kelaniya in Mass Communications, Economics and French, Parthipan began her six-year career at Phoenix Advertising as an Account Executive where she handled some of the blue-chip companies in finance, insurance and real estate. She also obtained a CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing) Diploma, which is beneficial when liaising with clients.

She then worked for the Ceylinco Group for seven years in different capacities, as a communications manager, executive director of Aratuwa, the first Sinhalese business newspaper and Director of Grameen Credit.
