Clarification

The article titled 'Sri Lankan engineers and social responsibility' which appeared on our June 8 edition contained extracts from the presidential speech delivered by engineer B.R.O. Fernando, the then-president of the Institution of Engineers of Sri Lanka at its 96th annual sessions last year, which were published a few weeks after the meeting. It was inadvertently republished due to a technical error.
