CMA offers accounting with IT

The Certified Accounting Technologist (CAT) programme launched by the Society of Certified Management Accountants which was set up with the technical assistance of CMA, Canada now offers an opportunity to all accounting students to obtain a practical qualification combining accounting with IT.

Accounting students registered for CMA, ICASL, CIMA, AAT and Diploma and Degree in Accounting could now register with CMA and sit only for the two IT papers and obtain the CAT qualification after completion of the exempted subjects applicable for each course.

Registration is now open for the December 2003 exam with the closing date for applications on July 30 for students who are registering under this special concession.
