‘Saturday Night Live’ is the newest programme on air

‘Saturday

popular presenters of the SLBC. This one hour live programme features
mainly rock bands with their original compositions giving much needed
exposure.
The programme
is on every last Saturday of every month from 9.00 to 10.00 pm.

‘The
most important thing is Rupavahini too is now ready to cover one

popular programme ‘Saturday Club’ is now intending to
hold an Award Ceremony to honour artistes, who have sung Sri Lankan
original English music.
According to Harold, the awards will be made to artistes in all
genres of music.
‘Special Awards will be given away to Lankan expatriates in
the Western music scene, who have contributed to the originals in
numerous ways’ he added.
Details will
be broadcast from time to time over the ‘Sat Club’ programme
and the ‘Hit Parade programme’ broadcast on the Commercial
Service on Saturday and Sunday at 7.00 pm respectively. ‘Voices
of Peace 2003’ is another project inspired by Harold to promote
originals.
