Ultimate choice for entertaiment
‘Ultimate Entertainment’ is the newest multi faced outfit in Moratuwa with a singing duo, DJ music and Karaoke singers. ‘Priyanga Fernando’, the manager of ‘Ultimate’ is a guy with 15 years experience in the D.J. field, catering DJ music for dances, weddings, parties and other functions.

Currently he is attached to ‘Golden Sun Resort’ in Waskaduwa handling most of the entertainments for the hotel. For his additional bookings he has three young lads talented and well experienced in the DJ field working for him. DJ (Save) Saveen, DJ Sanjeewa and DJ Naleen are attached to the ‘Ultimate Entertainment’, working as club DJs.

‘I have DJs and singing duo ,who are capable of handling any type of gig. Also our entertainment outfit is armed with Karaoke singers’ Priyanga said. Not only Priyanga spins the discs, but handles Karaoke along with Dane Asmone the veteran vocalist of “Country boys,” “Golden Chimes”, ‘’Cats Eye” lately with the band “Vintage” fame.

Dane and Priyanga perform at “Golden Sun Resort” twice a week and they said weddings and other gigs keeps them busy throughout the week. Ultimate Entertainment has the best and latest lighting effects that boost their performances.


DJ Everton at Thomian & Peterite faires
Romesh Fernando of ‘Sound EFX’, a popular DJ will come alive at the Thomian Fair on August 7,8 and 9 and Peterite Funfare on August 9.

Romesh , popularly known as DJ Everton, who is a top spinner with a good knowledge of music and versatality skills is the live wire of Sound EFX. The outfit comprises of six DJs ,who are capable of handling any type gig.

‘Versatality is the key to our success and we all are very serious when it comes to music. Technical ability, good taste in music and knowledge in the world of music are some of the key elements in our success.’ Romesh said.


‘Gayamu Eda Gee’
A sing-along festival of Sinhala oldies organized by Moratuwa Arts Forum (MAF) will come alive on September 07 Sunday at 6.30 p.m. at Buddhist Hall Moratuwa.

Music directors for the show will be Sarath Gunawardena, Rolinson Ferdinando and Nihal Fernando. Main objectives of this festival is to introduce those golden Sinhala songs to the younger generation and give them an opportunity to sing together with older crowd.

“Gayamu Eda Gee” is the Sinhala equivalent to MAF’s “Down Memory Lane” the English golden oldies Sing-along Festival.
