Ex-servicemen complain to PM

A group of former police and armed forces officers who have complained about alleged political victimisation during the previous regime are claiming that their grievances have not been addressed by the present government as well.

Former Assistant Superintendent of Police, M.P. Weerasena in a letter to Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, has said that despite informing the government about their problems, no action has been taken to resolve them.

He said in most cases they have not even received a response to their complaints from the authorities concerned.
