East, first casualty of interim council?

The Sunday Times Political Editor's article "Out of court settlement" made interesting reading. It shows the extent to which the government is probably intending to go, though such moves are unfair, unworthy and unconstitutional in attempting to influence a verdict in its favour, in case the attempt to grant an interim administration to the north-east is challenged in courts.

It will certainly be challenged in courts as it is considered unjust, illegal and unconstitutional.

The first casualty in the interim administration plan will be the east. How can the east, where all three communities - Tamils, Muslims and Sinhalese live - be handed over to the LTTE?
