Sex
education ‘classes’ at Royal
By Chris Kamalendran
A 20- year- old youth who posed off as a school master and entered
Royal College Colombo to give lessons related to 'sexual education'
has been eventually nabbed after a female security officer suspected
his movements, Police said. The youth had entered unattended classrooms
on many occasions and given sex lessons to students. He had visited
the school for the past four months.
His actual name
was Thusitha Bandara, but he had introduced himself as Mano Kaushalya.
He is reported to have spoken to the students mainly on homosexuality
and invited students to come along with him to places where they
could observe live acts. In an apparent move to cover his steps
the bogus sex teacher used different gates of the college to enter
it.
The lady security
officer felt suspicious about the movements of the 'master'. On
a subsequent day the 'fake master' was 'teaching' in a year seven
class in the absence of a teacher . The security officer alerted
another master and the principal who acted to get the bogus sex
master arrested. He was produced in the Fort Magistrate's court
and remanded till Friday.
Adding a twist
to the story police have now found that the bogus sex master came
from Kandy and had earlier been a teacher at a Daham Pasala where
he got into trouble after allegedly borrowing Rs. 25, 000 from a
colleague and failing to return it.
Police said
some of the students had complained to their parents about the 'unusual
lessons' they received at school and some of the parents had made
inquiries from the school, but the principal of the college had
denied the allegations. The principal Lakshman Gomez when contacted
declined to comment. |
