Nihal turns Music - Aqrate
Nihal Fernando, the leader of the musical duo NiRo has decided to call his line-up ‘Music-Aqrate’. ‘I started my one-man-band in the late 80’s and then formed, the present duo NiRo with Rohan Manukulasuiya on guitar in early 90’s’ Nihal said.

But now Rohan is not in a position to involve actively in the music mainly because of his commitments toward his job and the family. ‘So I decided to go as a one-man-band again. But my guest singer Thilak Perera and Rohan too join me when the time permits and demand arise’ says Nihal. While doing all his music Nihal sings current hits as well as lot of evergreens both English and Sinhala.

Nihal is the immediate past president of Moratuwa Arts Forum, while Thilak was the man behind the MAF and also the founder president . Performing mostly at weddings and get-togethers, Nihal devotes his time and talents praise and worship meetings too, as a humble and strong believer in Jesus Christ.

“I’m so grateful to God Almighty for all the gifts and talents given. ‘I may not be the perfect man, but I try my best to do accurate music and accordingly to satisfy each and every one in the audience, where ever I perform, with my wide repertoire’ said Nihal.
