Photographic Exhibition
Alliance Francaise de Colombo is organising an exhibition of photographs, by L.H.R. Wijetunge from September 18 to 22 at the Alliance auditorium.
This photographic exbibition will feature 48 black and white photographs acclaimed by the Photographic Society of Ceylon. Wijetunge’s work has won awards in numerous International Salons in London, Europe and Asia. Beyond his mastery of Black and White photography, he displays the people of Sri Lanka in their daily life. In 1996 he represented Sri Lanka at the UNESCO annual photographic International Jury held in Tokyo.

‘An Oldies Fiesta’ with Cliff
A musical extravaganza titled ‘An Oldies Fiesta’ with Clifford Richards will kick off at the Galle Face Hotel on October 3 at 7.00pm organized as a fund raiser by the Lions Club of Colombo Regent District 306C.

A grand event is to be held, with Clifford holding another show backed by the Xperiments. Special guest artistes on the show will be Dalreen, Sohan and Yasmin with a dance act by Nilanthi Dias. A sing-a-long segment with audience participation is also scheduled for your pleasure.

The proceeds from the show will be channelled to the numerous social service projects of the Lions Regent District club planned for this year.

On top of the list of beneficiaries from this charitable event will be orphanages and homes for the elders with special aid allotted to flood victims as well. Make sure you obtain your tickets on time, which are available at the host hotel.
