Strategies to achieve double-digit economic growth for business
organisations will be the focus of attention at the forthcoming
Business Convention 2003 organized by The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.
The Convention,
on the theme "Regaining Sri Lanka and beyond", is scheduled
for October 16-18 at the Colombo Plaza. The technical sessions of
the Convention will fall into five broad areas: Strategies for achieving
Double Digit Economic Growth: Role of the Private Sector in Infrastructure
Development; Finance and Financial Services; Competitiveness and
Value Addition; Employment and Labour.
The Convention
has attracted four of the top business personalities in Asia: Krishan
Kumar Modi, President of the Confederation of Asia Pacific Chambers
of Commerce and Industry, President of the Indian National Committee
of International Chamber of Commerce and Ex- Chairman of the Federation
of Commerce and Industry, Ho Kwon Ping, Chairman of the Banyan Tree
Group, Singapore, which owns listed and private companies involved
in developing and operating hotels, resorts, spas. |
