Warning of another health strike
The Health Services Trade Union Alliance (HSTUA) has warned it will launch another islandwide strike if its new demands are not met by Wednesday, an official said.

Joint-convenor Ravi Kumudesh said the demands included the cancellation of promotions and transfers given to casual, substitute and temporary health workers during the recent strike.

Meanwhile the All Ceylon Trade Unions Congress (ACTUC) is to carry out an islandwide general strike beginning with a token strike on Tuesday.
