SL - Indonesia business council formed
The Sri Lanka - Indonesia Business Council, which functions under the aegis of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, has announced the establishment of its counterpart council, the Indonesia - Sri Lanka Business Council in Indonesia.

Several years of discussions between the Committee of the Sri Lanka-Indonesia Business Council and H. K. J. R. Bandara, Ambassador for Sri Lanka in Indonesia, resulted in the formation of the Indonesia-Sri Lanka Business Council.

At the inaugural meeting about thirty-five Indonesian businessmen trading with Sri Lanka and Sri Lankans working in Indonesia had participated. The following committee has been appointed:
