CPC
to remove dye in fuel
A particular dye has been found in fuel which has caused adverse
effects to motor vehicles. The dye was identified after several
vehicle owners complained to the Motor Traders Association that
their vehicles are undergoing technical difficulties.
The vehicles
that are experiencing the difficulties are mostly new sophisticated
motor cars and other vehicles.
A spokesman
for the Diesel and Motor Engineering Company Limited (DIMO) told
The Sunday Times that there were complaints from people regarding
technical problems in their vehicles because of the dye used and
therefore the matter was brought to the notice of the Ceylon Petroleum
Corporation (CPC).
"The CPC
has promised to remove the dye from the fuel. We were informed that
it will be done soon, as the vehicles are facing technical problems"
he said. |
