‘Star
Wars III’:The last one
‘Star Wars’ fans are rejoicing now George Lucas has
decided to include Chewbacca in Episode III. The Wookie, played
in the last of the sequels due to hit screens in 2005.
Mayhew is set
to reprise his role as Han Solo’s trusty sidekick. Mayhew
said,
“I’m delighted to return as Chewbacca. I think his re-appearance
in this film is a fitting way to tie the whole saga together Wokie
fans.”.
More screen
time will also be given to those other classic characters C-3PO
and R2D2. Lucas has already hired actors Anthony Daniel and Kenny
Baker to reprise their respective roles as sprigtier versions of
their robot charcters for the movie.
Lucas has said
in the past that having Baker inside the R2-D2 suit brought “an
element of humanity” to the character. But the director is
leaving fans in the dark as to whether Darth Vader will return for
the final climax.
The film-maker
has refused to reveal how the third instalment of the beloved franchise
will end and even star Hayden Christensen has little idea. When
asked if he would be donning the legendary black armour, Christensen
said,
“No, not as far as I know. It’s not in the story if
we begin from where we left off.”
He also doubts
there’ll be any mask wearing or asthmatic breathing either.
He added, “None of that, as far as I know. But that’s
very little. George is notorious, he keeps it all very secretive.”
Considering James Earl Jones who voiced the original Vader has definitely
been booked to appear at the end of the movie, the dark cloaked
one may well make his welcome return.
