Film Festival in Hollywood
Udayakantha Warnasuriya’s ‘Gini Avi Saha Gini Keli’
and Buddhi Keerthisena’s production ‘Sujatha’
will be screened at the first ever Sinhala Film Festival in Hollywood,
U.S.A. on November 23 and December 7 respectively.
This festival
was started on August 10 at the Dolby T.H.X. Affiliated to Los Angelese
Theatre in Hollywood.
The films ‘Rajya
Sevaya Pinisai’ (Udayakantha Warnasuriya), ‘Paadadaya’
(Linton Semage), ‘Kalu Sadu Mal’ (Mohan Niyas) and Nishanta
Alwis’s ‘Ambusemiyo’ were too screened at the
first step of the festival.
This festival
been organised by Shirley Asantha de Alwis, who is at present an
under-graduate in Cinematography in U.S.A., Pumi Chandrsekera and
Kanchana Chandrasekera on behalf of Asiatic Cinema and Drama Foundation.
Piyal Jayasanka
was the Organizer (Sri Lanka) while co-ordinators were Samantha
de Alwis, Lasantha de Alwis, Ruwan Madanayake and Hepathi Kulasinghe. |
