Corrine
goes for ‘Aluth Deyak’

singer Corrine Almeida will release her debut compact disc and audio
cassette ‘Aluth Deyak’ next Saturday, November 6. After
being in the music scene for nearly fifteen years,Corrine has decided
to break the monotonous of her career.
‘Aluth
Deyak’ contains sixteen original Sinhala songs sung by Corrine.
“‘Aluth Deyak’ includes reggae, techno, rock and
slow songs, but most of the songs are bailas” Corrine said.
Hemasiri Halpita, Hector Wijesinghe, Ayesha Sinhawansa and Rajiv
Sebastian penned the songs for Corrine.
Mahinda Bandara,
Rohana Weerasinghe, Ossie, Rajiv, Bathiya and Mahesh Denipitiya
were behind the musical backing for the tracks. Corrine was with
Gypsies since 1991 and today she performes as a solo singer. She
was with Summer Set and Cosmic Rays before joining the band Gypsies.
“The
only thing I request from my fans is to buy this original CD and
do not fall for pirated ones. It is priced very reasonably at Rs
500-” said Corrine. |
