The New Year Celebrations will be at the high note this year as all the top hotels, restaurants and night clubs are on count down to the climax.
There are two main New Year’s Eve dances at the Trans Asia Hotel. At the Pool Terrace and at the Library.

Open Air Dance by the poolside will come alive with Entertainment Unlimited DJ’s. It will kick off at 10.00 p.m. and the tickets are priced at Rs. 2,500/- per person inclusive of breakfast.

Herald the New Year at the exclusive Library.to the sounds of DJ Stephen and Dallas and enjoy the first meal of the New Year with a sumptuous traditional breakfast for Rs. 2,500/- per person.(Free entrance for members )

Rex Fernando and Voyages will be in action specially for the diners of the Restaurants and Summerfield’s Cafe.offers grand dinner buffet with two sittings. Royal Thai, La Terrasse and Long Feng restaurants offer unique dining experience reflecting food from both East and West mixing tradition with new flavours.

Galadari hotel will be setting the scene with an exhilarating atmosphere of dazzling decorations, culinary delights and live entertainment.
Nalin & the Star Combination supported by DJs will be at the lobby to welcome the year 2004 in style.

The tickets are priced at Rs. 3500/- per head. The Ernest Francis Combo will be in action at the ‘Califorina Grill’ rooftop restaurant which will provide a dramatic setting to celebrate New Year’s Eve in true International style. Weaving together an exciting 5-course candle light dinner .The tickets are priced at Rs.5000/- per person.

The in house DJs will spin the discs at The Boom, while DJs from the Outburst Entertainment will rock the scene at the main ballroom. Sohan and the X’Periments , Kings and Desmond de Silva as the guest star will come alive at the Golden Ballroom of Colombo Plaza on December 31. Dinner, dance and the ‘eye opener’ breakfast are priced at Rs. 4800/- per head.

The Indian cuisine with Sanjana Dancers will be the attraction at the Indian Restaurant while the Jungle Theme will be the order of the day at the Taprobane on New Years Eve.

“Golden Ball 2003” and the “Sun FM New Year Dance” will come alive at the Ceylon Continental Hotel, Colombo on New Years Eve. “Mirage” and the Gold FM DJ’s will be performing at the “Golden Ball 2003” at the Sapphire Ballroom to welcome the year 2004.

Mirage comprising Donald, Kamal, Melantha, Gavin, and Chamal will be in action in Sri Lanka after years. The Gala Dinner Buffet will include a delicious array of International Food.

A bottle of Black Label Whisky and a bottle of Sparkling Wine for each table of 10 are offered. Tickets are priced at Rs.4000/- per person for “Golden Ball 2003”, which will start @ 9.30 pm. The dress code for the Golden Ball 2003 will be strictly Lounge.

“Sun FM 31st Night Dance” will come alive at the B.B.Q Terrace of the Ceylon Continental. “Sun FM DJs will spin their discs at this mega ball, specially designed for the young ones. Tickets are priced Rs. 2000/- nett per person.
