Milinda
holds talks with Sinha and Mishra
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe's special emissary Milinda Moragoda
yesterday met India's External Affairs Minister Yashwant Sinha and
National Security Adviser Brajesh Mishra in New Delhi to brief them
on the developments related to the peace process and the current
political situation, official sources said.
During
his visit, Minister Moragoda was also expected to meet with Brazilian
President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva who will be on an official visit
to New Delhi next week. Mr. Moragoda was earlier the Brazilian Consul
General in Sri Lanka. Since he became Minister this position is
served by his wife.
The
visit follows President Chandrika Kumaratunga's meeting earlier
this month with Indian Premier Atal Behari Vajpayee during SAARC
summit in Islamabad. The Sunday Times learns the Indian government
had expressed concern about Sri Lanka going for a snap poll. |
