Mohan to represent SLC at ICC meeting
Sri Lanka Cricket sources confirmed that if it's President Thilanga Sumathipala who is in remand custody has decided not to represent SLC at the Executive Board meeting in Auckland, New Zealand in March. Instead Secretary Mohan De Silva who is an alternate Director at SLC has been nominated by the Executive Committee to represent SLC at the New Zealand meeting.

When asked if Sumathipala's withdrawal was as a result of a request from the ICC, Sri Lanka Cricket Secretary Mohan de Silva replied in the negative. "There has been lot of rumors on this, but the fact is that the ICC has made no such request. Thilanga (Sumathipala) himself has taken the decision ".

It is also speculated that Thilanga Sumathipala will not be seeking a second term to the post when elections are held next month. The Annual General Meeting and the elections of office bearers to SLC is scheduled to be held on the 28th of March.
