CBK’s Aussie PR man back

An Australian media expert, who was earlier attached to President Chandrika Kumaratunga's research and information unit, has been brought back to prop up the UPFA's election campaign, political sources said.

They said the Australian expert, Mark Hilsop, who earlier worked out a PR blitz for the President is now working on special media releases, mini video clips and info documentaries on the achievements of the Kumaratunga administration.

PA spokesman and former Information Director Sarath Amunugama will head the President's PR campaign with Mr. Hilsop as a specialist consultant while advisor Tara de Mel will coordinate the whole campaign. They said the JVP, though in alliance with the SLFP, would be conducting its own publicity and PR campaigns.
