Double
Blue Ball with the Gypsies
The Grand Ballroom of the Colombo Hilton will come alive on March
13, to the pulsating sounds of the fabulous Gypsies and the cool
rhythms of the band Misty, a creative combination, at the ‘Double
Blue Ball - 2004’ Dinner Dance.
Old
Wesleyites Sports Club will be organizing their Annual Dinner Dance
to coincide with the celebrations in their usual grand style. This
year’s innovative theme is “Convergence” an appropriate
cliche - in coming together for a nostalgic moment combined with
excellent entertainment.
The
dinner dance which is held for the 13th consecutive year has had
resounding success in past years giving Wesleyites from all parts
of the country as well as old boys residing overseas to meet for
an unforgettable night of fellowship along with many friends of
Wesley who now look forward to the Double Blue Ball with much anticipation.
This
year’s dance will be spearheaded by the indefatigable duo
- Richie Sappideen (Chairman) and Ramzeen Razik (Secretary) under
the able guidance of the President of the Old Wesleyites’
Sports Club - Parakrama Wijemanne.
The
proceeds of this event will be channelled once again towards to
a worthy cause - to upgrade the facilities considered desperately
necessary for the Paediatric unit of the Lady Ridgeway Hospital
in Borella. Super prizes and surprises galore with many air tickets
on offer for entrance and raffle tickets draws.
Faizal
Bongso will compere the Dance once again. “We have news that
Old Boys from our Overseas Branches will be attending this Grand
Ball and suggest that all Wesleyites purchase their tickets early
to ensure to be a part of a great occasion” said Richie.
Entrance
tickets are priced at Rs. 2,500/= each and available at Wesley College
Office and the Old Weslyites’ Sports Club at Campbell Park.
