  • The building of Lovamahapaya
    King Dutugemunu was simply shocked when he noticed that the spear could not be removed. It was a miracle that no one could pull it out. The king kept guard around the place, where the spear was planted and went back to the palace.

Bundala National Park an area of 6216ha, located 246 Km South East of Colombo is Sri Lanka’s only Ramsar Wetland, honored internationally for its significant role since it hosts over 20,000 shorebirds, at any given time over the period of August to April.

    The Girl Guides Association of Sri Lanka celebrated ‘Thinking Day’ on 21st February 2004 at the Viharamahadevi Park. This year’s theme was, “We are the Girl Children of the World”.
