Ten years of California Grill
Celebrations to mark the tenth anniversary of California Grill, the Rooftop Restaurant of the Galadari Hotel will be held on June 25 and 26. Apart from the paranomic view of Colombo and the Indian Ocean on one side, the Colombo harbour on the other, the guests could enjoy the music of the 60’s belted out by the popular Ernest Francis Combo and Paul Pereira.

Ernest Francis plays soft piano music on Monday and Tuesdays while Paul Pereira takes over on Wednesday, Thursday and Sundays. Dance music is played every Friday and Saturdays by Ernest Francis Combo.

With Sri Lankan Latin American Dance Champion Anushan Perera as the restaurant’s Sous Chef, the food at the California Grill is very popular. To add to this extensive menu of hot and cold appetizers, Soups, Salads, Main Dishes, Desserts, with Coffees and liqueurs, the Grill offers a few new dishes that shouldn’t be missed.

Athula Ambawatte, the Restaurant Manager besides ensuring friendly and efficient service, enlightens guests on the new menu and has planned an Anniversary Dinner which comprises a six course candlelit dinner complimented with Wine, and a special souvenir for all lady diners. He adds that he has also arranged for all diners at the Grill on June 25 and 26 to complimentary entrance to the newly opened Nightingale’s Karaoke Lounge.
