outclass Lumbini

In a one sided game St. Peter's outclassed Lumbini by 34 points
(two goals, four tries) to 7 (one goal) in their Singer inter-school
rugby encounter played at Havelock Park yesterday. At lemons the
winners led 12-7.
Lumbini
made the first move of the match in the very first minute when prop
forward Duminda Chanaka followed a kick and succeeded in going over
for a try under the post and full back Prasanna Sanjeewa added the
extra points. But from there onwards it was the Peterites all the
way. They scored two tries in the eighth and 17 minutes through
No 8 Sajith Adhikari and winger Mohamed Rizni of which one was converted
by full back Mohamed Sheriff to lead 12-7 at lemons.
In
the second half play was completely dominated by the Peterites who
scored tries in the eighth, 15th, 18th and 28th minutes through
skipper and winger Mohamed Rinaz going over for two, second row
Ashan Wijesinghe and winger Mohamed Rizni scoring his second try.
Full back Sheriff was successful in converting only one of these.
