‘Take two’ shot in Colombo

One of India’s young and dynamic film director Amit Saxena and his team are now in Colombo picturising a Hindi movie ‘Take two’. The star cast comprising Karan Oberoi,Sandhya Shetty (our cover girl this week), Vidya, and Sheeba are portraying roles revolving around a story on a novel theme.

Director Amit Saxena amidst his busy shooting schedule told the TV Times the story is given a new kind of treatment based on real life situations. “The film starts with the lead girl’s car breaking down on her way to for an important interview. Just then one of her good friends passes the place and she misses the crucial lift.

The story unfolds on two tracks thereafter. One shows what happens if she gets the lift and the other reveals what takes place if she misses it. But at the end she gets what’s destined,” says Amit whose first film ‘Jism’ ran successfully in Colombo.

While Cinematographer Ahambaram and Art Director cum actress Sheeba are busy adjusting camera angles and thebackground, lead girl Sandhya Shetty, a recent Miss India Finalist talks to us about her role in the film and her personal career.

“This is my fourth film, but basically I am a model who has campaigned for major names in India including Levis. In this film I am portraying as a sexy girl trying to seduce Karan. I don’t mind the sexy image roles as far as it integrates well with the story. I have full faith in Director Amit that he will not exploit me,” she laughs. “I would love to model in Sri Lanka if I am offered a chance. Fashion is my passion and I love the Sri Lankan culture. Don’t you see I also look like a Sri Lankan,” she laughs uncontrollably.

Film Location services headed by Chandran Ratnam have facilitated the location services for Take two, while the firm’s Malcolm Mantara coordinates the production arena here. ‘The ‘Take two’ team will be back in Sri Lanka again next month to shoot some song sequences in Nuwara Eliya.

“We are enjoying every moment in Sri Lanka and the support we are receiving from Film Location Services is tremendous,” says Director Amit while Karan Kapoor and Sandhya Shetty agree in unison.
