Supreme Court defers news editor’s transfer
A case filed by an SLBC news editor against the management, seeking a postponement of his transfer was dismissed without costs. The judgment was delivered by the Supreme Court Bench comprising Justices Shirani Bandaranayake, H.S.Yapa and C.N.Jayasinghe.

Sunil Badaranayake, of the "Rajarata Sevaya", Anuradhapura claimed he had been transferred without any valid reason. He was said to be an active member of the UNP-affiliated JSS branch. The Court directed that the management should not transfer him until December 31.
