Kicking
heels and soothing songs
Senior officers planned a farewell cocktail party to former Police
Chief, Indra de Silva, over a week ago.
It
was to begin at 8 p.m. but the chief guest arrived only after 10.30
p.m. All the guests who turned up on time had to wait kicking their
heels until the former Police Chief turned up.
Then
the cocktail party got under way at a pace. So much so, Mr. de Silva
ended up singing songs to soothe the angry guests.
