Alliance maiden Budget on Thursday
Finance Minister Sarath Amunugama will present the United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA) maiden Budget in Parliament on Thursday, with promises of it being people and development oriented.

The Budget will be presented at 2.30 p.m. and will be telecast live on Rupavahini. The minister is expected to announce a pay rise for public servants as well as unveil plans to initiate several projects aimed at strengthening the local economy.
