LTTE kills drug dealer
A prominent drug dealer was shot dead in Mannar yesterday, by an LTTE front organisation, Police said.

The bullet riddled body of the drug dealer was found in the Mannar town on Saturday morning with a placard placed near the body signed by 'Ellalan Padai', an organisation named after a former ruler in Wanni. The organisation has been involved in previous killings of drug dealers and criminals.

The victim was identified as T. Jesudasan, a resident of Nochchikulam north of Mannar. Earlier last month another drug dealer was killed in Mannar, sparking a protest by a group against the killing and eventually prompting the Police to declare a curfew for three days.
