’Magical Christmas’ at Excel World

"Magical Christmas" is the theme for Excel World Entertainment Park this Christmas. Excel World offers many novel and exciting features to make it an enjoyable place for the whole family, with the tallest Christmas tree in Sri Lanka, standing at 40 feet and Santa Claus, snowmen and popular cartoon characters. With around 8000-10000 people visiting Excel World every week, there are attractions for the whole family. Excel World began their Christmas season with the launch of 'Cinematrix' and 'Magical Snow.'

Cinematrix is a 4D simulation theatre where you are guaranteed the "ride of your life." A 24-seater theatre where one has to wear special glasses and sit back and "experience" the movie that enfolds in front. From scary giant snakes hissing at you to skeletons attacking you, this ride is definitely one of a kind. The riders will experience water, wind and all other bumpy effects that the rider on screen experiences with the multi motion seats.

Ravi Wijenathan, Chief Executive Officer of Millennium Development (Pvt) Ltd, said that Rs 100 million had been invested on the Cinematrix, which was brought down from Hollywood. It is the first 4D simulation theatre in the sub continent. Excel World is also opening a new corporate lounge, complete with multimedia facilities, which can be used for receptions, cocktails, seminars etc soon.
