‘Shark
Tale’ floats in Colombo
Following the successful screening of animation film ‘Shrek-2’,
another computer designed movie “Shark Tale” is now
being screened in Colombo. The underwater comedy that had topped
the No one slot in the US charts is now released at Liberty cinema
in Colombo and several other cinemas island wide.
Directed
by Vicky Jenson, Bibo Bergeron and Rob Letterman from a screenplay
by Michael J. Wilson and Rob Letterman ‘Shark Tale’
is the story of a little fish who tells a big lie so he can get
what he thinks he wants in life-fame and fortune and respect and
even love.
Oscar
is a fast-talking little fish whose big dreams have a habit of landing
him in hot water. Lenny is a great white shark with a sensitive
side...and a secret-he’s a vegetarian. When a great white
lie turns Oscar into an improbable hero and the truth about Lenny
makes him an outcast, these two become the most unlikely of friends.
The
beauty right in front of Oscar is an angelfish-appropriately named
Angie-who works with Oscar at the Whale Wash. Oscar thinks of Angie
as a friend, but Angie has long been pining for more. Angie is desperately
in love with Oscar. She is the one who believes most in him, who
has always believed in him, even with all his hair brained schemes.
When other fish are rolling their eyes at Oscar, Angie thinks he
is wonderful, and she is waiting for the day when Oscar wakes up
and realizes that his life is truly fabulous and everything he wants
is within his reach.
Don
Lino supreme mob boss of the oceanic underworld, leads the search
for the hustler that killed his son in the fabulous new animation
film from Dreamworks.
‘Shark
Tale’ stars the voices of Academy Award nominee Will Smith
as Oscar, a hustler who has always been able to fin-agle his way
out of trouble, until now; two time Acadamy award winner Robert
De Niro as Don Lino, a great white shark at the top of the Reef’s
food chain; Acadamy award winner Renee Zellweger as Angie the beautiful
anglefish who harbor a secret crush on Oscar; Acadamy award winner
Angelina Jolie as the femma fatale, Lola, a cross between a lion
fish and a dragon fish, who uses her feminine wiles to get what
she wants; Jack Black as Don Lino’s son Lenny and multiple
Oscar nominated director Martin Scorsese as Sykes, a puffer fish
who is full of hot air and never misses an opportunity to make a
few extra clams.
The
Shark Tale Soundtrack will feature selections from the score by
Hans Zimmer, as well as songs from such multi-platinum and Grammy-winning
artistes as Christina Aguilera, featuring Missy Elliott, performing
a new version of the disco classic “Car Wash”, Mary
J. Blige, featuring Will Smith, doing “Got To Be Real”;
Justin Timberlake and Timbaland performing “Good Foot”;
and the film’s Ziggy Marley partnered with Sean Paul on “Three
Little Birds,” the song made famous by Marley’s father,
Bob Marley. In addition, there are songs from JoJo, D12, Ludacris,
India.Arie, and others. |
