is rising and one cannot even
estimate the number of people who have been displaced or
missing.

Wijeya Newspapers sets up
Disaster Relief Fund |
Wijeya Newspapers Limited has set up a fund to provide
relief to the millions of victims of the tidal wave disaster.
As an initial step, the management has committed a million
rupees to the fund and hopes to raise a considerable sum
from generous contributions. Donors could send their contributions
by cheque, cash, credit card or Money Order. The list of
donors will be published in the Group's newspapers.
The funds will be disbursed for urgent medical supplies,
educational rehabilitation and for resettlement, depending
on the funds available.

Money Orders should be made encashable at the Kompannaveediya
Post Office and posted to
