Mithun
Perera wins Debug Trophy
Debug Computers Limited a young progressive Company in to the IT
Industry impressed considerably with a superb promotion in Golf
at the Ridgeways ably handled by Michele Nicolle their sharp Advertising
& Promotions Manager. Chula de Silva the amiable General Manager
of the Royal Colombo stayed firm and readily available behind the
scene. Mithun Perera again hit the limelight with an absolutely
impressive 67 and received much applause collecting a handsome Debug
Trophy. Trailing behind was gangling David Evans on nett 70. Sheron
Fernando and Tissa Jayasinghe were quite impressive with nett 71
each.
Bright
spark Wirasingha
Ranjith Wirasingha has returned after an extensive trip
to Black Africa where he not only dished out his expert knowledge
of watering systems but also took the opportunity of having his
rough edges polished at a posh Golf Clinic. Success came to him
immediately upon his return when he cracked a great nett 68 to win
the 'B' Division Classic amidst jubilation. Lester Weinman, Nimo
Nirmalingam, Suranjan de Silva and Sohli Captain raised hell, messed
around and failed to recover. Kumar Boralessa went into the record
books with nett 70. His first below par round this year I understand.
'C' Division
Joseph Kenny came good after many months of messing round. His nett
67 was well calculated and quite praiseworthy and richly deserved
the Debug Trophy. Behind him came Fazal Hameed beaten by just one
stroke. Hameed was beaming quite thrilled with his excellent performance.
Majid Awn, Errol Weerasinghe and Kusal Perera kept smiling all afternoon
delighted with successful 69 each. The Silva Trio Elmo, Dinesh and
Siri crashed miserably with recoverable distress raising hell in
the roughs and moving into ponds to relieve the monotony of rough
environments.
Masters
Boralessa on nett 70 was beaten by Majid Awn by one stroke.
Both celebrated happily.
Seniors
After much messing around Joe Perera and Norman Chandraratne
ended their misery on 75 each.
Poolists
S. Amarapathima was exceptionally impressive with 68.
J.M.L. Indika settled on around 71.
Count
Down
Chula de Silva and Michele Nicolle understood their responsibility
and came good smartly. A situation that is annoying is the disregard
the authorities have for the continuous contravention of playing
rules. The choicest blessings to you. |
