‘Parasathu Mal’ in memory of Gamini
Special screenings of “Parasathu Mal”, the first film directed by the late actor Gamini Fonseka will be released in five theatres including Regal Colombo for a limited engagement.

The film will be screened after the now showing ‘Randiya Dahara’ (Shower of Gold) directed by Udayakantha Warnasuriya. The first directorial effort by one of the most versatile actors in Sri Lankan cinema, Gamini played a memorable role as ‘Bonny Mahaththaya’ in Parasathumal in addition to his role as the director.

The special screening with new film prints will be released in five CEL circuit theatres and this was organized to coincide with the third-month commemoration of the late film legend.

The others in the ‘Parasathu Mal’ cast are Punya Heendeniya, Joe Abeywickrema, Tony Ranasinghe, Anula Karunathilake, D. R. Nanayakkara, S. A. James, Dharmadasa Kuruppu, Shanthi Lekha and Sirimathy Rasadari. Veteran music maestro W. D. Ameradeva wrote the musical score for Parasathumal while Sumiththa Amerasinghe handled the camera.
