Cuban
medics here with help
A twenty-four-member medical brigade from Cuba will arrive in Sri
Lanka with a large amount of medical supplies, temporary tents and
other essential items.
Sri
Lanka's Ambassador to Cuba, Dr. Siri Vijayasekere was summoned by
the Cuban Foreign Ministry to discuss the assistance. Cuban President
Fidel Castro's condolences to the Sri Lankan people were conveyed
by the First Deputy Minister Bruno Rodriguez accompanied by Deputy
Foreign Minister for Asia, Jose A. Guerra Menchero.
The
Cuban medical team will work in the South and North, the embassy
added. |
