Com-sets with tsunami relief
An Italian Non Governmental Organisation has brought in communication equipment along with relief cargo for tsunami victims, The Sunday Times learns.

Public Security Ministry Secretary Tilak Ranaviraja confirmed that communication equipment had been imported along with the relief items and had now been referred to the Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (TRC) for clearance.

He said the NGO had declared the import of the equipment, but the ministry was seeking further clarification from the TRC whether the items could be allowed. Mr. Ranaviraja said the investigation would be completed as soon as possible.
