Mega
hits for the New Year
The movie line up for the year 2005 is packed with some explosive
hits which will compete for the top notches at Box Office. Hollywood
movie fans will see some of the best special effects movies ever
created which includes the mega hit Star Wars 3, Batman the movie,
King Kong and Son of the Mask. There is a significant increase in
movies related to real life affairs as well as movies based on current
global issues from crime rings to internal conflicts.
Elektra
features Jeniffer Garner the hot action heroine who has reached
mega stardom in action adventures with the hit TV drama Alias. Remember
Daredevil Elektra was first introduced on the big screen as the
main female character alongside the blind superhero the Daredevil.
This time the plot of Elektra will draw heavily from the graphic
novels “The Elektra Assassin” and “The Elektra
Saga,” as she battles the Hand, an organization of killers
that trained her and then betrayed her. One major character will
be Stick, a martial arts trainer who is a venerable Marvel Comics
figure who also appeared as the villain in Daredevil.
A
James Cameron documentary titled Aliens of the Deep will also be
released this year and is expected to provide a boost emerging documentary
movie industry. “Aliens of the Deep” is the result of
several dramatic and visually stunning deep-sea expeditions to hydrothermal
vent sites in the Atlantic and the Pacific oceans. These vent sites
are violent volcanic regions where the interaction between ocean
and molten rock create plumes of super-heated, chemically-charged
water that serve as unimaginable oases for animals unlike anything
ever discovered. Six-foot tall stomach-less worms with blood-red
plumes, blind white crabs, and an inconceivable biomass of shrimp
capable of “seeing” heat all compete to find just the
right location in the flow of the super-heated, life-giving water
that surrounds these vents. Unlike all other life on Earth, these
creatures are not dependent on sunlight and their ecosystems are
as close to alien as anything ever imagined.
Vin
Diesel redefines what it means to be an action hero in the heartwarming
family action-comedy “The Pacifier.” Diesel stars as
Navy SEAL Shane Wolfe who, as an elite member of the world’s
fiercest and most highly trained force though he was prepared to
take on any duty no matter how perilous or impossible... until he
tried baby-sitting. Diesel is assigned to protect the five out-of-control
children of an assassinated scientist working on vital government
secrets. Vin Diesel will not return in the sequel to the hit XXX
he will be replaced by Ice Cube in this new episode. Samuel L. Jackson
will return as NSA agent Augustus Gibbons, the handler of the incorrigible
agent drafted to tackle unsavory thugs around the world.
The
sequel to the extremely successful horror thriller the Ring will
also hit the screens this year. Titled The Ring Two Rachel Keller
(Naomi Watts) and her son Aidan (David Dorfman) have relocated to
the quaint mountain town of Asheville, where Rachel has found a
new job at the local Asheville Gazette, working alongside reporter
Max Rourke (Simon Baker). The discovery of a local teenage homicide
whilst scanning the electronic Asheville Police archives prompts
Rachel to uncover the truth behind it. Before long, Rachel has linked
the homicide to the mysterious video tape. Just when Rachel is within
reach of uncovering the secret, she discovers that Aidan has been
hospitalized unconscious, perilously cold, and bruised. Rachel suspects
this is the act of Samara Morgan, but Dr Emma Temple suspects otherwise.
Having being blamed for child abuse and looking guilty as sin, Rachel
returns to Seattle, to dig deeper into the past of the ghostly Samara.
Expected
to be a mega hit the final episode of the 1 trilogy of the Star
Wars series Return of the Sith will be released in May. After three
long years of relentless fighting, the Clone Wars are nearly at
an end. The Jedi Council dispatches Obi-Wan Kenobi to bring General
Grievous, the deadly leader of the Separatist droid army, to justice.
Meanwhile, back on Coruscant, Chancellor Palpatine has grown in
power. His sweeping political changes transform the war-weary Republic
into the mighty Galactic Empire. To his closest ally, Anakin Skywalker,
he reveals the true nature of power and the promised secrets of
the Force in an attempt to lure him to the dark side.
The
Marvel Juggernaaut seems to be never ending this times the movie
is The Fantastic Four. When an experimental space voyage goes awry,
four people are changed by cosmic rays. Reed Richards, inventor
and leader of the group gains the ability to stretch his body, and
takes the name, Mr. Fantastic. His girlfriend, Sue Storm, gains
the ability to turn invisible and create force fields, becoming
the Invisible Girl. Her little brother Johnny Storm gains the ability
to control fire, including covering his own body with flame, like
a Human Torch. Pilot Ben Grimm is turned into a super-strong rocky
Thing. Together, they use their unique powers to explore the strange
aspects of the world and acting as a force for humanity.
For
the kids Harry will return with more mysteries in Harry Potter and
the Goblet of Fire The pivotal fourth novel in the seven-part tale
of Harry Potter’s training as a wizard and his coming of age.
Harry wants to get away from the pernicious Dursleys and go to the
International Quidditch Cup with Hermione, Ron, and the Weasleys.
He wants to dream about Cho Chang, his crush (and maybe do more
than dream). He wants to find out about the mysterious event that’s
supposed to take place at Hogwarts this year, an event involving
two other rival schools of magic, and a competition that hasn’t
happened for a hundred years.
The
year will come to an end with movie which has thrilled many generations
of movie fans, it’s the new editions of the awesome King Kong,
Jackson will bring his sweeping cinematic vision to the iconic story
of the gigantic ape-monster captured in the wilds and brought to
civilization where he meets his tragic fate.
The
screenplay by Jackson, Walsh and Boyens is based on the original
story by Merian C. Cooper and Edgar Wallace, which became the classic
1933 RKO Radio Pictures film, directed by adventurers Cooper and
Ernest B. Schoesdack. Jackson will employ the latest motion picture
technology to cinematically portray the timeless tale of the beast
and his beauty.
He
will expand on the chapters of the tale that take place in the mysterious
and dangerous jungles of Skull Island, and his Kong promises to
be a unique and breathtaking creation. |
