A
stage for short filmmakers
The National Film Corporation has invited the short film makers
to participate in Tribeca Underground Short Film Festival in New
York. Hosted by A Taste of Art Gallery at 147 Duane Street (at West
Broadway) in New York City. The film festival will be held in May
concurrent to the popular Tribeca Film Festival. It will highlight
short films and videos from around the world.
The
Tribeca Underground Film Festival showcases work in all genres and
visual forms as long as they are shorter than 30 minutes duration.
Entries may be shot or created in any format: film, but will need
to be submited in DVD (all Regions) format only. Entries should
have been produced within the last two years and US $ 15 will be
charged for each entry.
The
applicant must complete their applications and submit with a DVD
(All regions) copy of the film clearly labelled with the film title,
contact name, phone number, e-mail address and running time. Final
date for the submission is March 1, 2005.
The
Tribeca Underground Short Film Festival was created by Asseraf in
response to her successful 2004 "A Taste of Art Short Film
and Video Festival" - Asseraf decided to rename her festival
and to expand its scope, offering film events throughout the year
in New York and creating a community for short filmmakers and film
connoisseurs.
