Collide-scope goes on the boards
The finals of Collide-scope which were scheduled to be held on Friday March 18, was postponed to April 9, due to unavoidable circumstances. Organised by the Interact Club of St. Peter’s College, the event will feature Methodist College and Holy Family Convent as the finalists, and will also feature an exhibition skit by St. Peter’s College and various other guest performances.

The judges for the semi finals were Mario De Soyza and Natalie Blacker, who shared their ideas with the two finalists on how to improve their skits for the finals. Ishraq Wahab, best actor at the 1997 All Island Inter- School Shakespeare drama competition and runner up at the All Island Toastmasters Competition, Shanuki De Alwis, best actress at the 1998 All Island Inter-School Shakespeare drama competition and Shamim Muinudeen (more popularly known as Mike Riley), of Sirasa Reload fame, will be the judges for the finals.

The schools will present original skits directed by themselves. The organising committee hopes Collide-scope will bring out the creative abilities of all Interactors. The event will be held at the College hall from 7.00 p.m onwards. Tickets will be priced at Rs. 100 and Rs. 150 and can be obtained at the Interact Club of St. Peter’s College.
