Near 'red' for CH&FC
The red and white jerseys from Colombo nearly saw red last evening at Welisara as the roving sailors reminded them that their last week's win over the Havelocks was not a fluke. Yesterday CH and FC had to pull all tricks out of their rugby bag to beat Navy by 19 points ( 2 tries and 3 penalties ) to 9 points ( 3 penalties)

At half time the scores were level at 9 all. Navy giving their visitors a harried time played beyond expectations in the first half limiting the scoring to an all penalty affair.

For Navy centre Sendilkumar put over their three penalties while the the CH full back Wijeweera put over their three penalties. In the second half CH and FC planted two tries through flanker Berty Jayasekera and winger N.D. Ekanayake. Both these tries went unconverted.
