Clean
sweep for Brandix at 5S
Brandix Lanka made a clean sweep at the Taiki Akimoto 5S Competition
and the Nagaaki Yamamoto Kaizen Competition. At the recent awards
ceremony organized by the Japan Sri Lanka Technical & Cultural
Association (JASTECA), Brandix was recognized nationally for their
efforts in implementation of 5S and Kaizen.
Brandix
Lanka is one of Sri Lanka's and Asia's most innovative solutions
providers for branded casualwear and intimate apparel. Brandix Finishing,
an integral part of the inspired solution of Brandix, won the prestigious
Nagaaki Yamamoto Kaizen Overall National Award as recognition of
its steadfast efforts in fostering continuous improvement in productivity,
quality and safety in the work environment.
Brandix
Casualwear, Avissawella took the Taiki Akimoto 5S Overall National
Award for 5S implementation across all sectors - apparel, plantation,
manufacturing, Trade and service sectors as well as winning the
GOLD award for the apparel sector.
"This
is a historic achievement, this being the first time ever a group
of companies have won both national awards," Brandix said in
a statement.
Brandix
Lightsew, Kahawatta was placed second runner-up in the Taiki Akimoto
5S Overall National Award as well as the first runner-up for the
apparel sector. Brandix Casualwear, Seeduwa and Giritale and Brandix,
Lightsew Jaela were awarded Merit awards while Brandix Intimate
Apparel,Welisara received a Letter of Commendation. |
