Union Assurance awards event in Colombo
Union Assurance held its annual awards conference in Colombo recently at which General Manager Marketing and Distribution Rukman Weeraratne said the event was all about the changing face of the company.

"The 17th annual awards ceremony is dedicated to many people, especially the sales staff who have contributed towards the success of Union Assurance in 2004 and it is the passion and professionalism of them and the relationships we all at Union Assurance developed," he said.

Ajit Gunewardene, Director Union Assurance, said that the company, with its 41 networked branches, high performing, experienced and trained staff and sales team, excellent computer systems, strong brand and image is poised to maximize its potential.

The awards presentation saw a total number of 138 awards. Arunasalam Ediriveerasingam of City Office secured Champion of champions Life Award, by winning Full Gold, MDRT and Best New Business Producer.

The five top achievers of the 118 winners qualified for Million Dollar Round Table this year, enabling them to attend the MDRT annual conference to be held in the USA in June 2005 under company sponsorship. Eric Uparshantha, was selected the Best Sales Manager at Corporate Business Development Unit.
