Malaysian jobs for Lankans

Labour Minister Athauda Seneviratne said yesterday that the Malaysian Government had pledged unlimited jobs opportunities for Sri Lankans.

This was consequent to Minister Athauda Seneviratne's visit to Malaysia last week, during which he met the Malaysian Ministers for Home Affairs, Human Resource Management and members from the Malaysian Employers Federation. The average salary for a migrant worker is around Rs. 25,000 and for housemaids between Rs. 15,000 and 25,000.
